Often times , as a photographer I HAVE to create my own challenges. I have to set my own guidelines as to SET myself apart... to DEFINE myself. We can get those happy, crisp white background, smiling images but what happens when you push against the grain? How do you capture just raw fundamental emotion? Cut the smiles. Cut the color. Strip it all down and you get to delve into what drives me as a photographer. Simple but yet speaks volumes. I see strength of character, love, power...I see behind the smile.... SO doing portraits of the family... the timer and the dog were my NEMESIS!!! I just had to laugh... So a friend came in to assist and I tell you B Jeter was a GODSEND! Next time I will of course, bring treats-bring LOTS of treats. I think they came out pretty decently... I love seeing us together! I will definitely have to do this more often:-)
