Beyond the Smile... Simple Black and Whites

Often times , as a photographer I HAVE to create my own challenges. I have to set my own guidelines as to SET myself apart... to DEFINE myself. We can get those happy, crisp white background, smiling images but what happens when you push against the grain? How do you capture just raw fundamental emotion? Cut the smiles. Cut the color. Strip it all down and you get to delve into what drives me as a photographer. Simple but yet speaks volumes. I see strength of character, love, power...I see behind the smile....
